We’re excited to share that Kami and Stella are expecting four puppies, due October 13, 2026! The litter will be whelped in Wyoming, and we’re counting down to their arrival.
This pairing brings together Gaylord’s Kami of Shomaisou and H.O.T. Stellar Expectations At Goldkress, affectionately known as Stella. Her X-ray shows four puppies, giving us four little reasons to look forward to October.
What colors might we meet? Their genetic forecast predicts a 75% chance of red and a 25% chance of black and tan for each puppy. Both parents carry the tan-point allele, so even though Kami and Stella are red themselves, this pairing can produce puppies with either pattern.
For a litter of four, those probabilities suggest an average of three red puppies and one black and tan puppy—but the actual mix could be different. Each puppy inherits its own combination, so all four could be red, or we could welcome more than one black and tan. We’ll discover the litter’s colors when they arrive!
As Stella’s due date approaches, we’re preparing for whelping and eagerly awaiting those first introductions. We look forward to sharing the birth announcement and watching these four little ones grow.
Stay tuned for news from Wyoming as we welcome the Kami × Stella litter!
