Welcoming Our Reign × Addy Bravo Litter and Looking Ahead

Summer is always an exciting time at Shomaisou, and this year is no exception. We are pleased to announce the arrival of our newest litter while also looking ahead to two carefully planned breedings that we expect later this summer.
Reign × Addy Bravo Litter – Born June 30, 2026
Our Reign × Addy Bravo litter arrived on June 30, 2026, and we couldn’t be happier with these beautiful puppies.
This litter consists of:
One Black & Tan Male
One Cream Female
One Sesame Female
Reign continues to demonstrate the qualities that have made him an important part of our breeding program: outstanding breed type, confidence, athleticism, and an affectionate, people-oriented temperament. Addy complements him beautifully with her feminine expression, balanced structure, intelligence, and sweet disposition. Together they have produced a litter that we believe has tremendous potential.
Like every Shomaisou litter, these puppies begin their education on day one. During their first eight weeks they will participate in our comprehensive Puppy Development Program, including:
- Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
- Early Scent Introduction (ESI)
- Daily handling and confidence-building exercises
- Extensive environmental enrichment
- Exposure to household sounds and activities
- Socialization with adults, children, and other dogs
- Foundation crate and litter box training
- Car rides and carefully planned new experiences
- Individual structural and temperament evaluations before placement
Every puppy receives regular veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, microchipping, prepaid AKC registration, and lifetime AKC Reunite recovery enrollment before joining their new family.
As always, our puppies are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we carefully evaluate each puppy’s temperament, confidence, activity level, and structure before matching them with the family where they are most likely to thrive for a lifetime.
Looking Ahead
We’re equally excited about two upcoming breedings that represent years of planning and our ongoing commitment to preserving the Shiba Inu.
Reign × Manami
Our planned Reign × Manami breeding combines two exceptional dogs whose strengths complement one another beautifully. We anticipate puppies with excellent breed type, sound structure, balanced temperaments, and the versatility to excel as cherished family companions while maintaining the qualities expected of preservation-bred Shiba Inu.
Kami × Bonnie
We are also planning a repeat breeding between Kami and Bonnie. Their two previous litters impressed us with its remarkable consistency in type, temperament, and overall quality, making this an easy decision to repeat. We expect confident, people-oriented puppies with beautiful heads, strong substance, balanced movement, and the stable temperaments that are the hallmark of our breeding program.
Our Philosophy
At Shomaisou, every breeding begins with a single question:
“How can we improve the next generation of Shiba Inu?”
Health, temperament, structure, longevity, and breed preservation guide every decision we make. Our goal has never been simply to produce puppies—it is to preserve and improve this remarkable breed while placing each puppy in the home where it is most likely to succeed.
As an AKC Breeder of Merit, we remain committed to lifelong support for every puppy and every family. Whether you’re searching for a devoted companion, a performance prospect, or a future show dog, we work hard to make the right match rather than the quickest placement.
If you are interested in the Reign × Addy Bravo litter or would like to be considered for one of our upcoming litters, we encourage you to complete an application early. We enjoy getting to know prospective families well before puppies are old enough for placement, allowing us to make thoughtful, individualized matches that benefit both our puppies and their future homes.
We look forward to sharing updates, photos, and developmental milestones as these litters grow. Thank you for following our journey and for supporting preservation breeding.
